We are looking into adding buy now, pay later options in the future. For now, we accept all major cards and PayPal which offers its own Pay in 3 option at checkout subject to eligibility.
Yes — as soon as your order is placed you will receive a confirmation email with your order details and number. A second email will follow when your order has been dispatched, including tracking information where available. Check your spam folder if you do not receive these.
Shipping & Delivery
5 questionsWe offer free standard shipping on all UK orders over £50. For orders below that threshold, a flat shipping rate applies which is displayed at checkout. We also offer an express next-day option for those last-minute kit needs before the season.
Standard UK delivery typically takes 3–5 working days. Express next-day delivery is available for orders placed before 1pm Monday to Friday. During busy periods (start of season, Christmas) please allow an extra day or two.
Currently we ship to the UK and Republic of Ireland. We are working on expanding to Europe and further afield — if you are outside these areas and keen to order, get in touch and we will see what we can do for you.
Yes. Once your order is dispatched you will receive a confirmation email containing a tracking number and a link to follow your parcel. If you have an account, you can also track orders from your order history page.
First, check the tracking link in your dispatch email. If the tracking shows no updates for more than 5 working days, or if your estimated delivery date has passed, please contact us and we will investigate with the courier straight away.
Returns & Exchanges
4 questionsWe offer a 30-day returns policy on all unused items in their original packaging. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, contact us within 30 days of receiving your order to arrange a return. Items must be unworn, unwashed and in resaleable condition.
Email us at the address on our contact page with your order number and reason for return. We will send you a returns authorisation and instructions. Please do not send items back without contacting us first.
Return postage costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is faulty or we made an error with your order.
Yes — we are happy to exchange items subject to availability. Contact us with your order number and we will arrange this for you. The quickest method is usually to return the original item for a refund and place a new order for the correct size or product.
We are sorry to hear that. Please contact us within 48 hours of receiving the item with your order number and a photo of the damage or fault. We will arrange a free return and replacement or full refund — whichever you prefer. We take product quality seriously and use this feedback to improve.
Products & Stock
5 questionsEvery product goes through a simple but non-negotiable test: would we trust it on our own dogs? We field-test products ourselves, consult with experienced handlers and only list items we are genuinely confident in. If it does not perform in real conditions, it does not make the cut — regardless of brand name or price point.
Most out-of-stock items are restocked regularly. Use the back-in-stock notification on the product page to be emailed the moment it returns. If there is no notification option, contact us and we will give you an estimated restock date or suggest a suitable alternative.
Absolutely — this is one of the things we enjoy most. We are handlers ourselves and happy to give honest, practical advice. Drop us a message via the contact page with your dog's breed, age, training stage and what you are trying to achieve and we will point you in the right direction.
Yes. Whether you run Labradors, Spaniels, HPRs, Retrievers or any other working breed, our range is selected to work across the board. Where sizing matters — collars, coats, harnesses — we provide detailed size guides on each product page to help you choose correctly.
Yes please — we genuinely want to hear from the community. If there is something you have been struggling to find or a product you swear by, get in touch. Some of our best listings have come from handler recommendations.
Working Dogs
4 questionsBasic foundation work — sit, stay, recall and introduction to dummies — can begin as early as 8 weeks in short, positive sessions. More formal gundog training typically starts from around 6 months when concentration and physical development allow. The key is to keep early sessions fun and short, building drive rather than drilling obedience.
For a young or small dog, start with a small canvas dummy (100g) — light enough to carry easily and sized to encourage a confident hold. As the dog develops, move up to standard 250g and then 500g canvas dummies. Avoid plastic or hard dummies early on as they can discourage a soft mouth.
Working dogs put enormous strain on their joints, especially in cold and wet conditions. We recommend a quality joint supplement containing glucosamine and omega-3 from around 3–4 years of age, proper warm-up before long days and warm-down/drying after. Do not work a dog that is showing signs of stiffness without veterinary advice.
At minimum: wound wash, sterile gauze, self-adhesive bandage (Vetrap), a tick remover, tweezers, saline eye wash and your vet's number. A small foil blanket is worth carrying for shock or cold water immersion. We stock field first aid kits that cover all the essentials in one compact pouch.
Account & Discounts
4 questionsNo — you can check out as a guest. However, creating a free account lets you track orders, save your address details and access your order history. It takes under a minute and makes repeat ordering much faster.
At checkout, you will see a field labelled Discount code or Gift card. Enter your code there and click Apply — the discount will be deducted from your order total before payment. Codes are case-insensitive and single use unless stated otherwise.
Sign up to our mailing list and spin the Lucky Paw wheel for a chance to win a discount on your first order — including free shipping, 5% off or 10% off. You can find the wheel at the bottom left of the screen or via the gift icon in the top bar. We also send exclusive deals to subscribers throughout the season.
